The seed goes down already wet, fed and protected, sealed under a layer of mulch that works like a mini greenhouse.

Difficult sites
Steep, remote or unstable? That's where we come in
We specialise in the revegetation sites other contractors walk away from, using a polymer soil-bonding medium to hold the surface while the grass takes root.
Hoses up to 150 metres
We run hose through bush and down tracks to reach banks that no vehicle can get near.
Cannon reach up to 50 metres
The cannon on our MAN 4x4 truck shoots across gullies and difficult ground straight from the road.

Hydroseeding FAQs
What is hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding mixes grass seed, fertiliser, a tackifier and wood or paper fibre mulch with water in a tank, then sprays the slurry evenly onto prepared ground. The mulch keeps the seed moist and in place while it germinates. Read more on our hydroseeding page.
How long before I can mow my new lawn?
Grass usually starts to show in 5 to 7 days, depending on soil temperature and moisture, and most lawns are ready for a first mow in 3 to 4 weeks. Our new lawn care guide covers watering and mowing.
Is hydroseeding cheaper than roll-out turf?
Usually, yes. Depending on the size of the area, hydroseeding can cost less than a quarter of laying roll-out turf, and there are no seams or rolls that fail to take.
Can you hydroseed all year round?
Yes. We choose site-specific grass blends so we can sow 12 months of the year, adjusting the mix to the season and the site.
